DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION (DOC) WORKING GROUPS REPORTS – Mark Nechodom, Department of Conservation Director Overview of Issues (Governor’s Priorities, Solar, Fracking, High Speed Rail, etc.) - Nechodom will briefly update the group on policy direction and expectations for the coming year, focusing on Solar, hydraulic fracturing and other well stimulation techniques, High Speed Rail, farmland protection and mitigation.

Kim Prillhart, John Parrish, State Geologist and Acting Assistant Director of OMR, Mark Nechodom - review of OMR internal audit and what changes in business practices in OMR that CCPDA might expect in the coming couple of years.

Tim Snellings, John Lowrie, Mark Nechodom - review of CCPDA Land Conservation Act Survey, current issues, AB 823 and other potential legislation affecting farmland protection, and broader discussion of better strategies for protecting not just farmland, but the agricultural economy and infrastructure on which the state depends.
