The Plan...next steps

MEETING SUMMARY:  About 25 people met via the meeting and WebEx.  We reviewed the next Draft of the CCPDA Solar Energy Facilities Guidance Document.  After much discussion, the document was mostly completed...with a few follow up bits of information to be provided by a few members.  The Guidance Document SubCommittee is completing the writing of the document over the next several weeks.  It will be formatted and several Appendix documents will be included in the final product.  We agreed that the Model Solar Energy Facilities Streamlining Ordinance will be Appendix A of the Guidance Document.  As the documents are finalized over the next several weeks, a final report will be prepared.  The Final Documents will be distributed to the CCPDA members for review and approval at our annual conference on February 3, 2012.  From there, we will distribute the completed products via this website, via email and other electronic methods.  If you have any questions, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Draft #3 of the Model SEF Streamling Ordinance is being finalized for discussion with the CCPDA Members (the CA County Planning Directors).

Our work effort has now shifted to the review of Draft #3 of the Model SEF Guidance Document (currently under development by a subcommittee of stakeholders).  This is a background and guidance document intended to provide 'the California context' for the issue of Solar Energy Faciilities Advance Planning (energy overlay), entitlement, plan check, permit issuance, permit final/operational deployment and long range site monitoring and ultimately site reclamation.
